Hmmm…I think this is where the public and our political classes fundamentally disagree.

If you are a politician, you should expect your finances to be a matter of public disclosure.

Otherwise how on earth are we to know whether you are being bribed or have come into political life simply for the purpose of being a stooge for big business or a wealthy private individual?
