Back in 2020, during [The Event] (stay indoors!), I went a bit mad with my label maker ...
... it continued ...

... someone asked if we lived in a label making town ...

We do.

Every time I go past it, I check if it's still there.
Someone in the car usually announces "Still a label making town".
Six years later: It's still there.

@popey

This reminds me that back in 2007 I was living in a house in Aberystwyth that only had the house name on the front of it.

I had purchased Mac OS X Leopard when it was released and the address form wouldn't take a building name, only a number.
Above the front door was a little window, so I used my best bubble writing in whiteboard marker to write the house number and stuck it in that window.
Mac OS X Leopard DVD safely delivered, the number stayed in that window.

I left Aberystwyth in 2014 and it was still there. On subsequent visits we would always check, and right up until early 2020 the sign was still in the window.

Around 2021 it looks like the building was sold to a hotel and the sign was removed.

14 years isn't bad!

Actually, I just remembered another sign I put in a different house in Aberystwyth 😆
It was to ask delivery drivers to try all flats at the address before leaving parcels on the front step.
That's been up since 2010 and, as of 2024, Google Street View suggests it is still there.

@popey was that before googly eyes life period?
