I talk about the #Fediverse whenever I get a chance. The trick is being receptive, not pushy. Let them try it in their own time.
Only saying this because I now have two long time friends actively participating in the Fediverse where 6 months ago they had no interest.
One was even using an app with AP integration and didn't even know it.
Anecdotal? Absolutely! But our reality is built on our perceptions.

I like long walks on the beach at sunset. But I don't. Because effort. Seriously though I'll try and use this for sharing snippets of hobby stuff, whether thats the Supertruck racing I've got involved with somehow, maybe guitar if I dust it off, or if I dig out the #ESP32 to go with #HomeAssistant on my #Proxmox box I just set up. It will be stuff anyway. Hopefully interesting stuff. Things in #tech, #photography, #biking, #motorsport, #fountainpen, and other things I will no doubt need to add here when I remember or get reminded. I touch computers in my spare time and self host things. Oh yeah so #selfhosting I guess. In my other spare time I renovate my house and do #DIY stuff. Oh and I (used to?) play music. As mentioned above a #Guitar I still have and sometimes play, #Saxophone I used to have a couple of decades ago, I had 6 months of Drum lessons, and played Bass for our school band in Rockquest in the late 90's. I have never done anything that cool since. Oh I live in New Zealand, Aotearoa.
