@ruxbat oh yikes that area shouldn't be hike-able much less super dry in mid May oh my gosh. But hope you had a good time! Does Crystal lake (the kinda sad looking pond along the highway on the other side of the road a bit north of where you parked) have any water rn?

@vapaad we didn’t see any! Green basin with grass, but I might have been looking in the wrong place.

Yeah, Colorado is so dry rn. We didn’t run into any snow, but we only got half way up before we turned around. We brought microspikes in case it got crunchy.

@ruxbat wow!! yea such a bad snow year. when this came up on my feed due to a followed tag it was like a jump scare for conditions lol. regardless, hope you enjoy your time on the west slope!
