At the hospital, waiting to see the doctor I was referred to 15 months ago. They're way behind schedule (I've waited 1.5 hrs at this stage) bc a lot of doctors called in sick today. If only we could do something to protect healthcare workers from infection...
There are signs on every entrance, encouraging people to wear a mask. Not one person (patient, visitor, HCW) is wearing a proper mask. I saw one nurse with a baggy blue that did fuck all for her.

I'm so tired of this crumbling healthcare system being made worse by the widespread ignorance regarding basic hygiene like cleaning the air and wearing appropriate PPE.

@ConnyChiwa Iā€™m appalled by the Gung Ho attitude of so many Health professionals and sick people too. At the pharmacy an obviously sick person was wearing a baggy surgical mask that was no protection for anyone. Luckily they had doors at either end of the store wide open and there was good air circulation. They have a front and a back entrance to the store.

@CarolynStirling Yeah, there should have been much better education for the population on how to properly wear a mask. I know a number of people would probably still not care but anyone putting a mask on now, should at least know how, for their own protection and that of others.
