If *ever* there was an apt time for dem congresscritters to convene (even without repub consent) a hearing, subpoena witnesses, review the leaked content AND any witness testimony (those publishing the leak, those suspected in the leak, those not suspected in the leak but In The Know, those recommending payoff, those not rejecting payoff as inappropriate ) in this hot mess, and let it dominate the news cycle, a $10B ‘settlement’ of a spurious greedy fucking lawsuit like this is that time.

Don’t just insist on it being rejected. Also reject the case being worthy of being delayed until there isn’t a justice-department conflict of interest. So, when R’s get all fussy, one can say ‘if it’s valid, y’all should be willing to postpone until impartial.’
