Everybody needs a bubble of protection. And my theory is everyone has one in various forms.

Assuming you can't readily cast spells, what is your bubble of protection? Multiple responses allowed. Also please comment alternatives because I want ideas.

@MaryAustinBooks If I really want to block things out… I've got a set of bluetooth earmuffs. Lately I've been using them on public transport simply because I can substitute the standard boom mic for one embedded in a mask, but they're useful in the office as well.

That plus a hood to block out visual distractions… that works well.

Of course, the earmuffs actually have a feature to allow me to hear ambient sounds, so I can also "stealth" listen-in too.

Screw my sleeve, I wear my emotions on my face.

What people see as "scary" clothes:

Black hoodie
Camo Army jacket
Big, clunky boots
Leather (pretty much anything)

Under acting "crazy" I'd say only if you include talking to myself. And cats, I talk to cats. Sometimes dogs, too. Giant redwoods, but it's been years.
