Folks, I just got some horrific news about the medical condition of a member of my family, and it appears like he might not make it through tonight.
If I am a bit scarce these next few days, that's the reason. Prayers and thoughts are more than welcome.

Update:
Some better news: They've managed to stabilize the situation somewhat, to the point that my brother (the one who's ill) can be moved to another hospital for more refined treatment. He's still in critical condition, but much more stable than this morning.
Huge sighs of relief and prayers of hope abound.
