Today is Ascension Day, which of course means our thoughts turn to ... the remote territory (pop. ~800) of Ascension Island in the south Atlantic, part of the 🇬🇧 British Overseas Territory of 🇸🇭 Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha.
