Various things relevant to my current moment:
My parents are visiting my nana overseas and so my brother and I are by ourselves. My brother's first meal contribution was a really delicious mushroom risotto, which he made enough for about 10 people. Tonight we are going to turn the remainder into arancini balls.
I am a big fan of mustard leaf - probably my vegetable of the moment. Yes I know vegetables aren't a real taxonomic category whatever. Mustard leaf is good in a salad or when you want to eat a leaf.
I have started 3D radio training with @hayden recently and it is great! I have forgotten to do the training I was supposed to do at home until this morning so that will be my activity for the afternoon after I drop off all my books at the library. I have toooooo many overdue books, like properly "pay us $500 or return these items" too many. Even librarians have issues sometimes #LibrariansAreJustLikeTheRestOfUs
I have lots of fig cuttings to give away. I already gave one to my friend in my Auslan class and still have plenty more. I don't want them all. I have turned a corner on fig trees - I still am the FigFan55 I was before HOWEVER I had a rough season over summer - not enough energy. They grew ok, but I have lots and I would prefer to just look after one or two and graft all the different varieties I like onto them and also the tree in my parents backyard. I might even plant another in the backyard who knows. It really just comes down to I need to cut down the amount of plant tasks I have over summer so I can care for them all properly. Please take a fig tree.
Speaking of plants that require less maintenance, I have recently ordered some cactus seeds that have monstrose parentage and so hopefully will produce some weird lumpy little babies. I am very excited! Many of them are also glaucus! Yay weird blue baby cacti!!!
I miss my friends Inneke and Blake. They are overseas but will be back soon. However not soon enough!!!
