looks like a campfire gone bad near the lookout and train tracks this morning. It was visible from town at 6:30AM

Campfires are still banned until Friday. But even then, please be extremely careful with any fire. The bush remains extremely dry under the surface.

@ChrisIstace as the dry season lengthens into both the spring and fall, it's just not a good situation!

@alberniweather from South Mt Benson to Mt Tzouhalem I can't believe how dusty dry the trails are from what they were just 30 days ago. Under the forest canopy should be not like it is right now, yikes !
