⛏️ The mine would cut off the last remaining seasonal migration route of the reindeer herding community of Gabna. Lars-Marcus Kuhmunen, Chair of Gabna, explains: “Everything is founded around the reindeer herding. If that ceases to exist, the Sámi culture will also cease to exist.”

🤝 Sweden's LKAB met top-level EU officials six times in the three months prior to the Commission granting its Per Geijer mine ‘strategic’ status. 🕴️ LKAB is also President of lobby group Euromines, successfully using it to deregulate permitting in Brussels + build support for Per Geijer.
