Tonight’s beer is called Homework, and it’s an Imperial Green Apple Gose from Tokyo’s Fetish Club brewery. (knew about them for a while, but this is my first beer by them.)

Ngl, picked this for the cute bum on the label artwork, a photo called “The Last Cabaret” credited to Yang Seung-Woo. Gose is probably my least favorite type of beer, but this is drinkable. 8% ABV.

@RobinMarx I’ve been enjoying your tour of beers (albeit late, as I am). Also a big fan of hazy IPAs! I can’t help myself, even if good friends disparage IPAs on the principle that they no longer need to exist with modern refrigeration.

Though I had to reply to this post, because I also appreciate the can’s artwork. 🙃

Out of curiosity, are most Japanese cans 50 cl? Or just what you get? (No judgement; I always go for broke. Especially when cheese or good weather is involved.)

@johninparis Seems like a pretty even split between 500ml and 350ml cans, but some Japanese craft brewers specialize.

I prefer to buy the bigger cans because 1) I get a better grasp of the flavor, and 2) go big or go home! ;)

The art licensed for this can is also included in a book by the photographer:

@RobinMarx Cool, thanks for all that. Most beers in stores here come in 33 cl cans or bottles, so I wasn’t sure about Japan. But then again, I don’t often get microbrews (my closest beer specialist closed a while back).

I always go for 50 cl when I order out, for the same reason as you. Two 33 cl bottles are just a bit too much if I like it but still want to try something else. Especially if I like that something else. 😆

Now I’m off to look at some art…
