Today, May 11, we mark World Keffiyeh Day.

For the team at https://Lifeline4Gaza.com, this is not about a fashion statement or a seasonal trend. It is about a lifelong commitment to the people whose history is woven into every stitch of this fabric. 🇵🇸

The keffiyeh is the uniform of the steadfast. It is the symbol of the farmer rooted in the soil, the fisherman tied to the sea, and the advocate who refuses to look away.

When we wear it, we carry the weight of its history and the urgency of its future. ✌️

Direct Aid is Our Solidarity 🤝
At https://Lifeline4Gaza.com, our solidarity is measured in action. While the world wears the scarf to show support, we use that momentum to ensure families on the ground have the essentials for survival.

If you are wearing your keffiyeh today, let it be a promise. Let it be the visual representation of your refusal to accept the status quo.

How to stand with us today:

💸🆘 Donate: Transition your visual solidarity into a lifeline. Every contribution goes directly to the families in Gaza.

📢📲 Share: Use your platform to spread the word and talk about it with your friends and community.

Stay Active: The keffiyeh does not come off when the day ends. Neither does our mission.

Act now at https://lifeline4gaza.com 🫒✨

I've been hesitant to buy one because I don't want to give money to someone in the west who's profiting off of the genocide of Palestinians. Is there somewhere to get one where my money will go to support those in Gaza that you know of?

@klep
I bought mine from Hirbawi in Hebron:

https://www.kufiya.org

Depends on what you’re trying to avoid, I suppose.

Hirbawi Kufiya - Home Of The Palestinian Scarf

The Official Hirbawi Kufiya Shop. Buy the Original Palestinian Keffiyeh and more products from Palestine directly from Hirbawi, the last remaining kufiya factory in Palestine.

@klep

Just remembered they have a separate shop for US.

https://hirbawiusa.com/

Official Hirbawi Store in North America

The one and only official Hirbawi store for North America. Black kufiya, white kufiya, black and white keffiyeh, traditional red and white, we have got them all. Brought to you all the way up from Hebron, Palestine. Don't tell anyone, we are trying to keep it underground.

@iamdorkside

I appreciate it.

I don't know, maybe it's cynical, but I see the level of greed in the world, and I just don't want to participate. Right when this genocide kicked off, this symbol of resistance was plastered on everything. Everyone was trying to make a buck off of the ethnic cleansing of an entire population. It's so gross and infuriating.

I wanted to try to find somewhere where my money would reach someone in Gaza. Not some fuckshit that's trying to make a buck.

@klep
The best way for most of us to help Palestinians in Gaza is to donate and share their appeals. Gaza has tried to adapt many times, but the sieges de everything hard. That’s before the genocide.

But I definitely understand wanting to show solidarity without lining the pockets of some scumbag selling knockoffs online.

See if you can find a Palestinian friend around. 😂

@klep

I’d also like to clarify that the Hirbawi factory doesn’t specifically support Palestinians in Gaza. I have a vague memory of involving communities in the area of Hebron but I can’t find anything right now.

@iamdorkside

Again, I appreciate you. I'll keep looking into it. I'll keep supporting Gaza in any way I can. Much love to you.
