@botwiki She's not wrong though - it's impact will be akin to the industrial revolution. One only has to see how the internet has fundamentally changed society in numerous ways, and AI will have a similar maybe even bigger impact. Whether you like AI or not, it will impact you, the question is - how are you preparing for the change.

@tangerine_sedge @botwiki Just the framing alone is an issue, that "AI" is some inevitable force, and not a series of choices made by people out of ignorance, greed, or most destructive of all, a combination of the two.

@Traiken @botwiki Those choices are being made whether we like them or not. AI is being rolled out whether we like it or not. Businesses will downsize whether we like it or not. Jobs will change whether we like it or not. Just stating that AI is stupid and wrong will not stop any of that happening. At this point, there is so much money invested in AI, that it will be implemented regardless. There will be change, there will be societal winners and societal losers, but it is coming whether we like it or not.
