Had some fun at the art studio yesterday, including this brush pen sketch of me learning my new Spotykach looper (more on that to come)
@baymud That Spotykach looks cool as hell, but for $1000... I'd rather buy two Morphagenes, personally.

@etherdiver @baymud this is when having a synth youtube channel would come in handy...justifying the purchase of a ridiculously expensive looper

@alisynthesis @etherdiver to be fair, I did also get a discount because I'm doing some tutorials/demo stuff, but yes, also all of that. Ha

@baymud oooh nice! that thing definitely looks fun.

@etherdiver

@alisynthesis @etherdiver so far it is very fun. I've lost a lot of hours just making noise and following the happy accidents. I had also already bought a few of their other products and know I like what they do, so that helped (Simple Touch 2, Audrey II)
@baymud @alisynthesis if they offered me a discount, I'd probably jump on one too 😅
@etherdiver @alisynthesis For what it's worth, I don't say yes to everything, but they liked the videos I had done on their Simple Touch 2 unit and I'm active in the Discord, so it seemed like a natural fit
@etherdiver Makes sense if you have a modular setup already that you can fit them into! In my case, 2 Morphagenes here alone is more than the Spotykach, plus the cost of a case & power (it's also open source, with a fun community behind it, so I'm curious to see where else the firmware goes)

@baymud yeah, for sure, it's not a judgment and really, it's more like "I'd buy ANOTHER Morphagene and some stuff to make them play nice".

If I had nothing, it'd be harder to justify the 2 Morphagene route 😅

@etherdiver Yeah, getting sucked further down the modular rabbit hole is what I'm trying to avoid after buying the Workshop System (it is self-contained, at least). The Spotykach does have patch points though, which makes me want to use them together
