Plot twist: I'm suing the Justice Department and FBI

Why I'm suing the government for records under the Freedom of Information Act.

~this week in security~
My thanks again to the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press for representing me in Whittaker v. Department of Justice, in which we argue that the government unlawfully withheld records under the Freedom of Information Act that may explain why the FBI visited my home.https://www.rcfp.org/litigation/whittaker-v-doj/
Journalist sues to obtain records related to alleged FBI probe into his reporting

Zack Whittaker, represented by RCFP attorneys, is suing to access records that explain why the FBI visited his home.

Big oof. Uh.... that's not how this works????
If something is evidentiary and used in a hearing you are required to be presented with it prior to trial.

Further you'd request those documents WITHIN the same case.... or request them from your attorney in that case.

The courts abstract of you or your cases....

But this is just. AGHhhhhh.
