Oh my dog, this is hilarious. I visited a store selling 18V Bosch cordless tools.

Bosch 18 V 2.5 Ah battery / €69

Compatible All Alliance 18 V 2.5 Ah battery / €39

Out of curiosity and out of my general cheapness I went with a compatible one.

Little did I know that when opening the generic brand package I would end up holding a Bosch branded 2.5 Ah battery. 🤓

There might be somekind of warranty/registering differences*, but basicly the branded Bosch cardboard package is evidently worth 30 euros. Oh my word, I need a drink or at least a Dr Pepper.

*I care too little to look into it.

@mastosalo Coming from the world of BMW motorcycles, this is doubly hilarious. Generally, you can buy a Bosch-made BMW-branded part for $100, or the exact same Bosch-made, Bosch-branded part that also happens to fit every four-wheeled European economy car for $25.
