anyone know about the recyclability of shrink wrap?

am opening a product packaged with shrink wrap right now.

from a quick check online I see people saying that polyolefin and PVC are common materials (with the latter being more problematic). though this doesn't really tell me where to drop it off if i want to recycle it...

@glennmagusharvey It’s been a decade since I worked at a factory that used shrink film so take this with a pinch of salt. If I recall correctly we found a recycling route for the unheated unused film, but didn’t find one for the film once heated. Things may have changed since, and this was in an industrial setting, not a domestic one.
