Most states don’t even have regulations for data centers because various state Republican legislations passed bills to give the upper hand to the corporations to build including some places being allowed to claim eminent domain and just take the land.

Here's an example of eminent domain claims from a Florida energy company. It's for power lines in SW Pennsylvania into West Virginia and Maryland in order to get energy for data centers in Northern Virginia.
