I just bought this TV-- although it was the 2026 model. Had no idea she was on the box. The model I wanted was in the back, although there were some boxes on the floor for other models. I never looked that closely at the box, other than to confirm it was the model I was seeking.

If I were to buy a TV at all (I haven’t had one in 20 years), I wouldn’t care one bit whose face was on the box. I don’t believe for a second that the face of a particular singer contributes to sales a lot or even to “enormous revenue.”

But that doesn’t mean I think Samsung should or could just go ahead and use people’s faces without asking.
