@davidaugust I find that when I do my live radio reports, sitting alone in the room, I still make all the emphatic hand gestures and stuff I'd do in front of a local audience. I can't not do it.

@lauren Yup. Voice is made by our bodies, and it is normal and healthy for our bodies to engage fully.

I go into details with coaching clients, but suffice to say: voice is a kind of manifestation of want, maybe even need, and it makes sense it doesn't just involve making noise.
