Bonjour Alexander, I have paid for Pro to use dictation into Bloom but disappointed that it is no better than Apple Siri transcription.

This initial version indeed uses Apple’s provided dictation feature.

I’ll explore switching to a better provider. I’ll reach out soon again on this.

@performat Other developers use eg Parakeet on-device or the various Whisper models on-device.

And simple transcription via the cloud is inexpensive now, especially for short instances. No one is going to be recording meetings on Bloom!
