@spaf I've always valued the advice I received 45 years ago: take a minor in something you enjoy. So I chose history simply because I love the stories.

Will it help in computer science, information security, or other technical field? Does it have to? Is it not good enough if it just helps you be you? So study art, music, dance, anything that makes you feel alive, and be a happier person. Future you will appreciate it.
