So on Friday, the FCC quietly extended the foreign router firmware deadline to 2029. Why you may ask? Well the said that enforcing it would create cybersecurity risks.

I mean imagine that, unpatched hardware might be an issue....who knew? 🤷‍♂️

The new deadline lands 20 days before the next inauguration. Oh and I believe TikTok says hi.

@ppb1701 Somewhere in the past we lost all of our “trusted foundry” capabilities. All because of the need for more profits. And they suckered us in. Probably doesn’t matter anymore.
