I cannot recommend Duck Duck Go's
app tracking privacy suite for android enough.

Simply install #DDG you don't need to use it. Open up the settings and switch on 'App Tracking Protection' then forget about it. It's that simple. You can see which apps have been trying to harvest your data easily, who what and when, it works in the background across ALL your phones installed apps.
Done and dusted πŸ‘

Yes there are better ways but this is by far the simplest.

Basic #privacy #android

@weta out of interest have you tried its subscription VPN?
@weta While in Settings, remember to turn off "A.I."

Hmmmm, I have an Ad Guard app that prevents apps from showing me personalized adds (result: most apps that used to show me those terrible ads stopped showing me any adds at all). Only one of the apps can run, DDG or Ad Guard, because they both count as VPN for the phone. I wonder if DDG prevents more tracking than Ad Guard and if it will also prevent the apps from showing me ads.
