@ShadowJonathan @Huntn00 The bottleneck is the biosphere. The bottleneck is the fact that we are part of the fauna of this planet, we need to eat, and we need all kinds of plant materials like wood, but the biosphere is degrading, species are dying, entire landscapes are turned into barren deserts by our industrial activities like mining other types of raw material extraction. We're running out of planet, we're running out of life. If we can't rebuild our entire real economy all across the globe in such a manner that it works with the natural ecosystems instead of against them, the biosphere will degrade to the point where billions will die, possibly leading to our extinction and that of all other large vertebrates.
And no technology can help with that. Growth is over, the economy will shrink dramatically one way or another.
