Wife enjoying one of the Netflix live shows in Los Angeles so spending some time this evening making progress on the second bedside table. The first one is much simpler than the second one so I may not complete the second tomorrow. #woodworking
While chopping mortises on the other one last night the whole piece split in half. I glued it back together and am finishing the mortises now, but I’m nervous. This has never happened to me before! #woodworking
Did a test fit (great) and adding mending plates to really keep it solid. Hope to finish today but could be tomorrow. #woodworking
Glued up! Eased all edges and corners. As you can see everything is nicely wedged. Once glue is dry I will smooth the top with a scraper, smooth the protruding wedges, and add some paste wax. For now I think I need to get some wood for what’s coming next. #woodworking
