can any genre of#music be "#pop" music?
My argument is if a metal track is in the charts, it is popular so pop music
my cousin who is a music teacher said
"Yes, you're right. Pop music as a genre (I was told by someone much more highly qualified than me!) that it is not technically a genre as it is actually only a concept covering that is considered popular! "
