Got my official Canadian census form delivered to my house (even though mail and packages cannot ever get delivered to my house, because it's rural), and then got derailed by the second question which asks for my address and doesn't accept land locations (I do not have an address! I have a land location! This is how rural Canada works! How does the census form not accept this???)
THIS IS THE HISTORIC 🇨🇦 CENSUS that counts ALL gay/lesbian people who (self)identiy. Before this, the census could only count TWO L or G people per household: Person 1 and Person 2.
Worse than that, before 1996, if people of the same sex filled in Commonlaw Spouse on the census, #StatsCan would "correct the error" and count Person 1 and Person 2 as Roommates. 😡
I'm not aware of StatsCan counting trans people. Are they?
