Trump says pausing Hormuz operation in push for Iran deal

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he was halting the US military operation to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz after just one day, in a bid to...

@dalfen #trump keeps providing material to the newly established "the idiot did what now!" news section #unbelievable
@hszakher Yes he does!
*whew* 😳😅
@dalfen obviously, as #IdiotInChief , he was not too impressed by operation mcflurry and decided to cancel his order and try something else, maybe less fruity 😀
@hszakher Operation McFlurry 😂👏
And trying something less fruity 🤣😂
I'm cracking up over here 🤣😂👏👏

@hszakher I read that Pakistan's involvement in negotiations has a lot to do with trump calling off "Project Freedom" operations. They had just started yesterday and called it off today.

Every time I hear him speak, he boasts about how Iran is completely beat... they have no leaders, no navy, all sorts of things... but obviously that's nonsense, given how the US still needs to blockade the Strait to pressure Iran & hold "freedom" operations so ships can safely pass. And Pakistan has to mediate.

@dalfen could be. My theory is that #trump backed off due to #iran attacks. #centcom didn't issue a statement at first, then stated that US navy ships came under sustained attack from Iran, that war ships had to respond and shut down 6 (or 7 acc. to trump) speed boats while deploying defense systems, attack aircrafts...etc to fend it off. I believe the situation was much bigger than reported that caused trump to realize that his "project freedump" not gonna fly

@hszakher Project FreeDump - you're rolling with them tonight (today) 🤣😂👏

Oh I agree with you there too... it's obvious that there is more going on than he claims (listening to him, one would think that there would be no reason for the US to be doing anything it is doing, like trying to "free" the Strait(s) of Hormuz, because Iran -as it was since 1979- basically no longer exists).
