@HailsandAles Cozy Powell is the only musician (afaik) from Cirencester itself.
But the best known band is XTC who are from Swindon, just down the road. I guess that means I can have Dukes Of Stratosphere or is that cheating?
Billie Piper is from Swindon too ๐
@HailsandAles okay, I have mine! I have (edit: 5).
Meat Puppets are an obvious one. They are truly, as they self-describe, 'America's favorite hidden treasure'. ๐ Curt is maybe my favorite living guitarist.

Blood Loss is from Mesa - deathy, sludgy Cannibal Corpse kinda feel.

Yellowcake. Hardcore punk - rough and fast

Gin Blossoms. Tempe boys. I've dug these guys since I first heard Hey Jealousy. Allison Road, Found Out About You, all kinds of hits. And huge Smithereens fans. Lead singer Robin now sings for them sometimes since original singer Pat passed.
Death Tunnel. I'm so crazy about these guys. I mean, riffs for DAYS. One performs as like, Leatherface? It's wild.

@HailsandAles Nice, I love me some regional scenes! Gotta think for a minute whether I want to claim my home state of New Jersey (which mostly means North Jersey when it comes to bands) or Philadelphia (culturally and physically closer to me) as MY region. And then I still feel a connection with other places I've lived, including Athens, GA (mid-ish 90s) and Columbus, OH (ca. 2000).
@HailsandAles
