“Our strong business performance during the March quarter generated over $28 billion in operating cash flow and drove new March quarter records for both operating cash flow and EPS,”

The fact that Apple did not turn over this cash flow to Nvidia is a source of great concern among investors.

@asymco and in no universe should they. Apple’s GPUs now outperform Nvidia on a per watt basis.

Data center is a different challenge, but Apple’s in the same place with GPUs as they were with mobile CPUs in 2018 when most didn’t realize iPhones were outperforming Intel’s laptop and desktop chips.

And if this AI thing doesn’t pan out, Apple still has a billion devices to put GPUs into. What’s Nvidia’s fallback? PC gamers and Nintendo Switches?
