Arrived in Vancouver for the #WCRI2026 @[email protected] I am moderating a panel on Monday and giving a talk as an @[email protected] award winner on Tuesday. Today and tomorrow, though, we’ll be exploring the city. Lovely #Azaleas next tot the hotel.
We started our day with a view from the Vancouver Lookout. What a lovely day!
The busy GasTown district and Maple Tree Square with its brick buildings, shops, restaurants, and the GasTown Steam Clock. #Vancouver #WCRI2026
Then we went up #GrouseMountain with the Blue Gondola, walked to the winter enclosure of two sleepy grizzly bears, just out of hibernation, watched the zipliners, and enjoyed the view. #Vancouver #Wcri2026
Today, husband and I explored more of #Vancouver. We started with the #Capilano Suspension bridge, where treetop adventure awaited.
From there, we took an Uber to Sunset Beach, and then one of very cute False Creek ferries to Granville Island. We walked around, saw some art galleries and bought some fudge at the Public Market.
We continued by ferry into False Creek to Science World, where we were just in time to see some #Dragonboat races. #WCRI2026
