@realsimon @StaceyCornelius I never had a cat who did that before, but Tennessee is a champion at head butting hard furniture edges and almost anything else that's hard enough to provide satisfaction: his hair brush, a cat toy mouse that happens to have a large firm body, the wood windowsill in my office, etc.

@jeridansky @realsimon His adopted sister was queen of the head butts at our place. She'd come up to me for pats and as I reached down she'd come up on her hind legs with a little hop and angle her head to meet my hand.

Several years ago I discovered a cat head butt is called bunting. 😻
