Switch between light and dark mode instantly. Features:
- One click switch to dark mode
- Switches 43% faster than the Control Center toggle (0.80 vs 1.40 seconds). Apples delayed Control Center toggle is more annoying than you might think until you try using it. See the video!
- Set a Keyboard shortcut
- Hiding Dock icon / Menu Bar item (ps: the dock icon acts as a toggle as well!)

Why did I create this? Its annoying to repeatedly open control center to test my Mac apps in both color schemes. Apple’s Control Center toggle is also pretty jank in Control Center and the Menu Bar. Another benefit of Eclipse is that the color scheme animation is preserved unlike other methods!

While your there take a look at some of my other apps: https://pxllit.com/

Thanks,
Jonathan

@JTostitos You can also switch it directly from Xcode when debugging your app 🧐

Not sure if it's worthy to switch entire OS just for that 😅

@kkolakowski maybe its not helpful for everyone, but I prefer to see what my app looks like compared to other native apps in the same color scheme.

Also, my app Eclipse is a one button press without having to go through 3 menus (Debug > View Debugging > Appearance) to change the appearance. Funny though, that when I try to use that, the options are disabled anyways so I can’t even change my apps appearance from Xcode while running the app.

@JTostitos Ok, having it in context has some benefits. But still - saving 0.5s per change doesn't seem like a huge incentive for me 😅

But hey! Whatever works for you 👍
