Folks in #SoftwareTesting I need your help: where would you point a highly motivated newcomer to your field?

In terms of:
- networking with folks
- learning (e.g. test automation or API testing)
- finding an entry-level position (remote or in Switzerland)

Reason why I am asking:
I am working with a highly motivated person who's already doing a 1-year-internship but now they need to find a new (permanent) role because their company has no budget to keep them.
