2/ First speaker was #OpenStreetMap legend Sarah Hoffmann, talking about the many challenges involved in the recent addition of geocoding to building entrances in Nominatim.
3/ Second speaker of the evening was Najah Pokkiri of Axis Spatial https://www.axisspatial.com discussing the work they have done to move GIS away from traditional, manual workflows to a cloud-based agentic model
4/ Next up was Nina Nesterova discussing her work using Earth Observation and geospatial analysis to track permafrost warming.
Nina was later voted by the audience as the best speaker of the evening 👏👏👏
5/ Fourth speaker of the evening was Lorenzo Conti of Mapbox discussing the many design challenges of creating safe and effective in-vehicle navigation systems.
6/ Last but not least was Jilles van Gurp @jillesvangurp from FORMATION https://tryformation.com giving an overview of the practical challenges involved in creating geo-referenced indoor maps.
