1 out of 3 Americans approving of this 💩show of a presidency is a wild stat.

What exactly are they approving of? The high gas prices? The pointless wars? The blatant corruption and insider trading? The most incompetent and under qualified cabinet in history? Protecting a sex trafficking ring?

@carnage4life they don't actually know or understand any of this. They're so isolated that they have invented a hermetically sealed fantasy they live within.

@carnage4life

"He tells it like it is. He is one of us."

@carnage4life

Some will be approving because they've tied personal identity to the project, and saying they disapprove now means they were wrong. Also, opinions are cheap. It may not be in their best interest for Trump's regime to continue, but voicing an opinion doesn't change that, so they lose nothing materially by asserting everything's fine and feeling good about their choices.

It may or may not translate to votes.

@carnage4life sadly I think it’s the racism and fascism. I agree that 33% approval is hard to fathom.
@mpospese @carnage4life ~40% of Americans are pretty racist: "Immigration, another signature issue of Trump’s, is a relative bright spot for the president. About 4 in 10 U.S. adults approve of his performance on that issue, which is unchanged from last month and higher than his overall approval." https://apnews.com/article/trump-approval-iran-economy-cost-of-living-poll-fff492898cc8ff34e11df90ec4837a79
Trump's approval on economy falls, new poll shows

A new AP-NORC poll finds that President Donald Trump’s approval rating on the economy has slumped over the past month as the Iran war drives prices higher. Trump’s approval rating on the economy dropped to 30% in April from 38% in a March AP-NORC poll. A similarly low share of U.S. adults, 32%, approve of the president’s leadership on Iran, which is unchanged since last month. Even Republicans are showing less faith in his leadership, according to the poll, which shows a president who is struggling with unfulfilled promises to tame inflation and testing Americans’ patience with a conflict in the Middle East that has dragged on longer than expected.

@carnage4life It's all for the lulz. Some peoples lives are so boring that they have poured everything into this nut job's presidency.
@carnage4life They approve the racism and sexism, and attempts to return to an imaginary racist, sexist past in which everything was "great".
