NEWS: A new report says the U.S. has burned through so many munitions in Iran that officials fear it couldn’t fully defend Taiwan from a China invasion in the near term, says the WSJ.

Over 1,000 Tomahawks + up to 2,000 air defense missiles have been used. Rebuilding stockpiles could take up to 6 years, experts warn.

@TimMaddog Good but from what I’ve read, it’s no imaginary scenario. China is more than happy that the USA uses up its precision munitions in attacks on Iran so it can’t use them on China in the event it attempts invade Taiwan (which I really hope does not happen but China really does want Taiwan, alas)

@TimMaddog @alex_p_roe China only has to look at Ukraine and Iran to see that war is now unwinnable, no matter what fancy toys their military has.

@TimMaddog Yup, am fully aware of China’s interest in Taiwan. China is aware that if it does attempt to take Taiwan, the US may step in to prevent this and this has acted as a deterrent for many years. But not the US is run by a lunatic, the deterrent is not what it once was. We’ll see.
