Born this day in 1907, Lee Miller. Miller was a photographer and photojournalist. She had been a fashion model in the 1920's before going to Paris to be a fashion and fine art photographer. She was a WWII correspondent for Vogue. This image, taken by David E. Scherman in Hitler's private apartment in Munich on April 30, 1945. (The same day Hitler committed suicide.) Her boots carried the dust of Dachau, deliberately dirtying Hitler's bathroom.
