It was quite peaceful sitting and reading a book with Alice last night (I was reading the book silently, not to Alice...), but it was clear she wasn't going to have babies soon. So I went to bed. I came back out to the barn at 2am, and she had just pushed out her second baby! I got them all toweled off and under the heat lamp, and she laid down and pushed out a 3rd baby! Well done, Alice!

@sundogplanets happened to me with human childbirth, I thought I'd better grab lunch before it really started, and when I was back it was over (there were other physicians available)

@leonardof @sundogplanets my mother was in labor and a nurse checked her out and said "you're definitely in labor but it will be a few hours", my father held up a 5 dollar bill and said "ok, I'm going to get a bite to eat than". He walked out, took elevator from 4th floor to first. Stepped out and heard PA system calling him back. He turned around and rode back up. By the time he got back sister was out.

She was always just after that money 😋
