Since this update, thumbnails are not loading for me. All I see is the generic gray link image. Clicking on thumbnails works as intended.

Its because you have data savings mode turned on on your phone.

If you want to force jerboa to ignore that, then go into the jerboa settings and click Low bandwidth mode > always off.

Same issue, data saver is not on (plus I’m on Wi-Fi so suspect it wouldn’t matter)

It happened on two Pixels here too. Data Saver is off on both and both are on WiFi.

After fresh install on WiFi thumbs load. Then turning off WiFi (even briefly), close-reopen app, thumns gone. Data saver is off. Then turning WiFi back on doesn’t make thumbs reappear.

You can go into the jerboa settings to force it to use thumbnails I described above.

There’s also a new release today that drops the metered network check from the data-saver.

Yup, that setting worked. I’ll retest fresh .87 install to see if the default behaviour has changed. Thanks!

.87 worked as expected yesterday. I even tried enabling/disablin Data Saver. Then this morning the thumbnails are gone again. Data Saver disabled, on WiFi, with all Jerboa settings at default.

I know the workaround but I’m chiming in cause the default behaviour for others might be unexpected.

Sadly, comment swiping with the two sides mode is not working since 0.0.85, the same with this version.

I had to downgrade to 0.0.84 to continue using this feature.

Has there been some changes or a new setting that behaves differently than before? I used to swipe a comment slightly to the left to upvote, and swipe extremely to the left to downvote. Swiping slightly right was allowing me to add a comment, extreme right swiping to bookmark. For me, only the extreme swipes still work, meaning downvoting and bookmarking. Is this the same for someone else? Is there a solution to this feature? I really loved this! Edit: The setting “Preset for swipe gesture” still exists and the mode is still set to “Two sides” for me, but it doesn’t seem to behave the expected way anymore.
