"AI" has now joined the big mess of polarized topics that are too disconnected from reality for most people to be worth discussing. It's too bad.

As usual, I feel all camps are wrong, but each has its own special insights, and I think most people agree with that — not in some wishy-washy way — they just perceive it's not safe, or even forbidden to say so, and not worth the effort to try to work out the kinks.
