Seriously thinking about selling my MacBook and iPhone, buy 2nd hand ThinkPad and Pixel and make a switch to #Linux and #GrapheneOS
@rasterized_doom GrapheneOS is more secure and more private than iOS, but GNU/Linux is much less secure than macOS. https://privsec.dev/posts/linux/linux-insecurities/
Linux Insecurities

There is a common misconception among privacy communities that Linux is one of the more secure operating systems, either because it is open-source or because it is widely used in the cloud. However, this is a far cry from reality. There is already a very in-depth technical blog explaining the various security weaknesses of Linux by Madaidan, Whonix’s Security Researcher. This page will attempt to address some of the questions commonly raised in reaction to his blog post.

@a53bdb thanks for the link- that was a good read.
I am not really concerned about the security because I can mitigate the risks. Privacy is the key and with all the changes around age verification etc. GNU/Linux seems to be the only sensible choice nowadays.
@rasterized_doom Privacy is highly related to security, and I don’t see the issues on Apple platform. You can simply turn off the age verification. If you really want to use GNU/Linux, try SecureBlue. Btw due to the price of memory, it is not a good time to buy a PC now.
