@EdwinG they mention the Thurso-Cumberland ferry ! (They call it « Rockland » ). Instead of fancy dockside high soeed recharging, they use a forklift. Huge and heavy battery container charged on ground. Couple times a day , forklift replaces the one on ship with freshly charged one and bring depleted one to ground charging station. .

@jfmezei There are two ferries:
- Cumberland ↔️ Masson

@EdwinG My bad. It is/was Thurso-Clarence.
Masson-Cumberland is larger diesel ferries. I guess Rockland may have swallowed Clarence so it may now be the Rockland ferry.

This used to be my standard route to Ottawa before the road between Rockland and the start of old Montréal road became impassible to cyclists (they recently added paved shoulder).

Since I switched to the Mason ferry, The word "Clarence" became unused and mistakenly used Cumberland.

@EdwinG The original Thurso-Clarence ferry went between the islands to dock on mainland Ontario.

The new ferry docks on Clarence island and they built a road that does a loop to rejoin the road that used to be the ferry terminal road.

(Note: google still says Thurso-Clarence)
