

@tom7 @pervognsen I also appreciate having the references in the paper sorted alphabetically by author last name but with the actual reference identifier being apparently assigned sequentially, adding a small extra challenge to looking them up.
On a more specific note, I am not sure about the XOR reference pointing to Leibniz' Explication de l'Arithmétique Binaire since AFAIK it only makes mention of regular binary addition but not carry-free binary addition, i.e. XOR.
@tom7 @pervognsen Either way, I think if you're gonna credit Leibniz, I believe the more appropriate reference to use is probably not the 1705 Explication de l'Arihmétique Binaire, but rather the March 1679 "On the Binary Progression", which already pretty fully develops binary arithmetic!
(He also developed and wrote on hex in 1679 - although he used the term Sedecimal then! - in case anyone was doubting he was a man of culture.)
