I understand how people are coming to think of a podcast as just a talk show. But what's special is the distribution. That no corporation has to be dealt with to make them available to the world. That both creators and consumers have total choice in apps and services. This is already possible with video and getting better with text and music. And with fedi, we don't need them for attention.
