we also saw a tiny two lined salamander and some jack in the pulpits
I had always assumed that our area’s (rust belt) waterways/sheds were too polluted for salamanders but over the last several years I’ve found them in all sorts of unlikely places. either the water quality isn’t as bad as I was led to believe or salamanders are more resilient than I thought
