Today I learned that apparently there are more than one colour of medicare card.

Green is the standard one, but for those newly receiving a medicare card there is aparently a Yellow (temporary) and a Blue (newly on medicare) one.

Imma guess mainly recent migrants/refugees will see these other colours.

@richiekhoo I think the green is only available to citizens or permanent residents who for purposes of taxation are domiciled in Australia. I know some Australian citizens who cannot obtain a Medicare card because they are non-residents .
